A little order, one disc at a time
Move the whole stack from the Left tower to the Right tower. Only the top disc can move, and a larger disc must never sit on a smaller one.
Click or tap a tower to select its top disc, then another tower to move it. Select the same tower again to cancel. Disc numbers show their sizes: 1 is the smallest.
Keyboard: Tab to a tower, then use Enter or Space to select it. Left and Right arrows move focus between towers; 1, 2 and 3 choose towers while a tower has focus. Escape cancels a selection.
The minimum from the starting position is 2ⁿ − 1, where n is the number of discs: three discs need 7 moves; eight need 255. Undo removes your last move from the counter. Restart clears the board and counter.
Need a nudge? Hint suggests one move on a shortest route from your current position—even after a detour. It highlights the starting tower in blue and the destination in gold, and names both in the message. It never moves a disc for you.
